Hello! I'm Fujimori, the manager of "SALLYS RUNNING DEPT." in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. I have an announcement to make! Our website has been renewed! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you all about SALLYS once again.
What kind of store is SALLYS?
SALLYS RUNNING DEPT. is a specialty store that aims to make running and trail running more enjoyable and free. We don't just sell items, we aim to be a place where local runners can gather and communicate, and a hub for disseminating information. With the motto "Running = Fun!", we support a wide range of runners, from beginners to advanced runners.
Selection and support that makes use of the manager's competitive experience
I was born and raised in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, and have had experience in a wide range of sports, including basketball in elementary school, track and field in junior high school, alpine skiing in high school, and softball in university. As a working adult, I represented my prefecture in softball at the national tournament, and I have also played for a club team in New Zealand.
However, my competitive career was also plagued by injuries. I repeatedly suffered from fractures, ligament damage, back pain, and tendonitis, and in order to overcome these, I learned rehabilitation, body care, and training methods. These experiences are greatly utilized in my current running and trail running style, as well as in the advice I give to my clients.
I only started running marathons in my late 30s, and was completely exhausted after my first full marathon. But I was captivated by the joy and sense of accomplishment I felt from running. Now, I continue to challenge myself in full marathons and trail races, and hope to share the joy of running with as many people as possible.
